Summer Playroom Program

The playroom schedule for summer will be quite different from our regular sessions throughout the year. Summer play will be divided into 4, two-week sessions with a variety of options to suit you and your child's needs.

Summer workshops are 2 weeks in length and allow families the opportunity to mix and match topics of interest, length of each class, and number of days in which a child attends. A vegan snack will be provided for all two-hour block workshops.

Combination workshops encourage cross-curricular connections and integration of content so that the child can begin to make thematic connections. For example, a child enrolled in the combo workshop: How Things Work & Math Building Blocks will learn that mathematics is an important aspect of science, and goes hand-in-hand with all science explorations.

enrollment procedures

Enrollment for the summer program begins May 1st. You may sign up your child for any combination of workshops throughout the month of May, but to secure your child's position, all fees & registration forms must be received by June 1, 2009.

cancellation & refund policies

WRC must be informed by June 15th if you wish to cancel enrollment and be refunded all workshop fees. After June 1st, if you wish to make changes to your child's workshop schedule, every effort will be made to accommodate your changes, but no guaranties can be made that your child will receive first choice, or that particular workshops are still available. If you wish to cancel your child's enrollment during the first week of workshops, WRC will refund 50% of enrollment fees. No refunds will be given in the second week of workshops.

freebies

Fridays from 1:00-3:00 are FREE to workshop participants. Space is limited to 6 children, so first come – first play! Reservations may be made by calling on Friday after 12p.m. Alternatively, families may just stop by to see if there is space.
